Established in April 2011, Lakeside Chapter remains the only official HOG chapter to serve the Essex area. Back then around 170 riders and partners signed up for membership on the launch evening. We were originally based at Lakeside Harley-Davidson, in South Essex, right next to the Dartford Crossing, giving excellent accessibility from Essex, Kent, and London. Unfortunately the Dealership closed in September 2020, however the Chapter remans very active and continues to be the only official HOG affiliated Chapter in Essex, and with the full support of HOG, we have retained our Lakeside Chapter Great Britain name.

As we are so close to the M25 we are not so far from most of the areas in and around Essex, London and Kent, so we aim to draw our membership from a wide area.

As a Chapter we look to have “Ride Outs”, on at least one day every weekend (often both) and at least one weekday )often two) in the summer and most weekends in the spring, autumn and winter. We have travelled far and wide from the top and tail of the UK, into Europe, also the USA. Our calendar page shows all the ride-outs, rallies, events and meetings.

We have a closed Facebook group. To access this you need to be a Chapter member, which of course means you need to be a H.O.G. member. You’ll need a Harley to do that of course, so if you haven’t yet got one of those don’t miss out on the best ride of your life.
